For Women
To know Christ and to make Him known! Women's ministries at Immanuel exist to glorify Christ by loving and serving the women of the Church.
Our main goals are to:
Reach women with the gospel of Jesus Christ;
Provide women with opportunities for fellowship and provide encouragement for who they are in Christ;
Help women mature in their spiritual lives while pursuing a goal of Christ-likeness.
Opportunities
- Tuesdays — This weekly study is led by Elinor Burns-Webber, year 'round, from 9:30-11:30am and welcomes you to join! Until we are moved into our new building we are meeting at the home of Bob & Toni DeRidder. The current study is from the book of Matthew.
- Tuesdays — Though the emphasis is for "at-home" moms, all ladies are welcome to join us every-other week from 9:30-11am, during the school year. (Child care is provided thru age 5.)
Ladies' Retreat
This is a wonderful break to be refreshed by God. A protected time to worship, learn and benefit from encouraging friendships. Next year's retreat (2009) will be held at Maranatha Bible Conference Grounds (Muskegon). More information will be provided closer to the date.
Ladies' Time Out
A day away is planned for enjoyment and time for you to spend with friends. It might be a shopping trip, a day at Shipshewana or at a Bible Conference.
Kindness Ministry
Every spring we take a collection of needed items for the Holland area Lakeshore Pregnancy Center. A list of care items is provided at the beginning of April and donations are accepted at a church drop-off point through mid-May and then delivered to the Center.
Family Hope Ministry
During the fall season there is also an opportunity to donate care items for the needs at Family Hope operated by the Holland City Mission. Suggested new items are provided, from a list, and circulated to the church during the month of November.
