Who We Are and What We're About
Vision
Our desire is to be a group of people living in daily anticipation of what God will do
in and through us as we grow in our relationship with him, our partnership with other
Christians, and our friendship with the unconvinced.
(Matthew 22:37-38; Matthew 28:18-20)
Purpose
Helping people take one-step-forward in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Focus
- Learning the Word of God — We value speaking the truth clearly in a way that makes sense to the culture in which we live.
(1 Corinthians 9:19-23; Colossians 1:28-29; 2 Timothy 3:16-17)
- Sharing in the heart of God — We value honoring God in all we do and communicating our dependence on him through prayer and
worship.
(1 Corinthians 6:19-20; Philippians 4:6-7; Colossians 4:2)
- Caring as the people of God — We value all people by staying alert to the needs of those around us and by building loving friendships.
(John 13:34-35; Acts 2:42-47; Hebrews 10:24-25)
- Serving for the glory of God — We value using the skills and resources that God has given to us with a commitment to excellence.
(Ephesians 4:15-16; Colossians 3:17, 23-24; 1 Peter 4:10)
- Reaching out to those unconvinced of God — We value opportunities to share our faith with those who live near us and with individuals
all around the world.
(Acts 1:8; 2 Corinthians 5:20-21; 1 Peter 3:15)
Goal
As followers of Jesus Christ, our goal is to become like him. As individuals and as a church we
must reflect his priorities by striving to be a seeking church that is eager to share the message
of God's good news with others around us.
(Luke 15:1-32; Luke 19:10)
